We have now surpassed $60,000 in donations and hit the 20% milestone towards saving our Canberra United team. And this is with just 508 donations so far – we currently have 5563 signatories on this petition, and if each of you were able to donate just $11 today, that would literally DOUBLE our current amount!

Please donate now if you are able to – and if not, please share our facebook and Instagram pages with your networks, and give us a follow on TikTok, too!

On Wednesday 10th April, Greens MLA Laura Nuttal tabled this petition in the Legislative Assembly in support of saving the Canberra United team, and gave an excellent speech. Minister for Sport and Women, Yvette Berry, responded – you can see the full recording here

Senator David Pocock has thrown his support behind the Save Canberra United campaign, and we love to see it!

Save Canberra United working group member Sue Read has been all over the media this week, talking about our campaign and also discussing the disparity in investment of our women’s teams in Canberra from the ACT Government. She has been talking to ABC, 7 local news, Win local news, Riotact and will be talking on some podcasts later this week!

Please keep the momentum up!! Initially, some doubted our ability to raise more than $10,000-$20,000. And yet here we are ONE WEEK IN and have over $61,000 in donations. This is the power of grass-roots organisations and our amazing football family community in Canberra and beyond ⚽️
